  1. Heya~ So I'm not new to animating at all, been doing it for years - though I've never thought to ask around about this, mostly because I've just been assuming it's a limitation of the SL skeleton. But I'm really getting sick of the super-awkward and limited wrist/elbow rotation here...at times it seems virtually impossible to get some very basic and completely natural arm positions, such as having the elbows resting on a suface with hands laying flat on the same, said surface - where having the elbows down will force the hands up at undesirable angles, and to get the hands flat the elbows need to be spread way out and sometimes even up off the surface. I use Avastar to create my animations in blender, and this has always been a problem for me. So I just want to know - is this really just a limitation of the SL skeleton, Avastar, or have I been seriously missing something this whole time? Maybe there's some work around? Thanks for reading~
  2. Hello all~ Lately i've been having issues with my mesh body disappearing/not rendering properly for other people after TPing to a new location. I've just been relogging every time I TP to fix it up to the point, but that's really starting to get quite tedious. Is there any other way around this? Or at least some quick/easy and reliable way to tell if my body is showing properly for others? The body is the 'Tonic Fine Beauty' mesh, and i'm using the latest Firestorm viewer for 64 bit windows~
  3. I see. I do have a script I can use for the mesh switch-out option, but it's not exactly the most efficient way to go about it. It may be my only option atm though...I will have a look into bento also, it's probably the best way. Thank you! <3
  4. Hello~ :3 So, over my years in SL, i've come across several mesh items that could be manipulated via huds that came with them. For example, a mesh head that can change the expression of the eyes and mouth independently (logo heads), and even one that could open/close them to the desired degree via sliders (ona heads, I think) - and i'm pretty sure neither used Bento. I'm very interested in making my own custom head, and would like to be able to do this also - so I have to ask, how would I do this? Is there a tutorial anywhere that would help, or would I just have to be like super script-savvy? Anyway, just asking for a pointer in the right direction~
  5. Fixed - Needed to enable loop within the blender / avastar export settings even though the animations are not intended to be looped.
  6. Hello~ Lately, i've been trying my hand at making custom AO animations using Blender + Avastar. However, i've run into a problem with some animations - specifically the 'Standing' animations. Every time one of these animations ends, my avatar reverts to the default SL pose for a split second (as if the AO is turning off) before beginning the next stand animation, rather than seamlessly transitioning between them. This happens in multiple AOs, so I assume it's my error. Anyway, i'm uploading the animations in .anim format @30fps. Each animation consists of 900 frames (30secs long). I've tried fiddling with the ease in/ease out option, but it doesn't seem to fix it and i've already spent too many L$ with test uploads. Help me please! ._.
  7. Hello =3 I recently got into making my own animations and furniture, using blender and Avastar. I began to run into problems however, as some of my .bvh animations weren't behaving correctly within SL. I contacted Avastar support and they suggested I save the files as .anim instead. I was under the impression though, that people need to use a certain viewer or something for .anim files to work properly? All the tutorials I read said to use .bvh also. Just want to know if anyone has experience on the subject, and can tell me whether it's ok to use .anim files for animations on furniture that is intended to be sold? Thankies~
  8. Heyo~ :3 I'm looking for a script that will quickly change the state of a prim through a simple means such as touch. Something that will change rotation, location, scale, textures, etc. from one to another and back again at will. I have tried this: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/DisQs-Prim-Changer-BOXED/178038 However it is not working properly and the creator isn't responding to my IMs. Can anyone point me to something similar, preferably with transfer perm if possible? Please~

  10. Found the problem - turns out I hadn't moved the items from the 'Received Items' folder to my inventory when I originally bought them, and that's why they weren't showing up in search. I feel pretty silly now, but hopefully this'll help someone else in future
  11. I've been having a problem recently with items disappearing from my inventory. It's happened a couple of times now, and i've no idea how. Basically, certain items from my outfits won't show up in my inventory, even though I can still wear them through the outfits feature. Clicking the 'show original' or using the search bar just comes up blank. I've tried clearing my cache and I definitely did not delete them myself. Can anyone please help? T.T
  12. Hello there =3 I somewhat recently acquired a nice mesh body, and i'd like to make my own mesh clothing for it using blender. The problem is I did not create the body, and so I have no way (that I know of) of accurately measuring it's dimensions from within blender which afaik is necessary to make something that fits properly. Does anyone have any tips or methods for doing this? Thanks =3
