  1. Hahahahah :smileyvery-happy: Now the mental image has stuck !
  2. LOL Rya, now kill this mental picture of mine, where you resemble my old English Teacher - Grey hair in an old fashioned knot... a pair of glassed, smal, round - piercing eyes (no not pierced ).... But I love the spirit of never giving up to fight the decay of grammar!!!!
  3. The TOS change hasn’t changed much for me actually. As a template designer I am and have been uploading a lot of material. Some of it I have digitally watermarked. I have seen my sales drop somewhat in September (compared to September last year) but they are back on their feet again in October. In my opinion that ‘September dip’ could well be caused by more trivial reasons, like the mild autumn, the lack of new releases on my part, the on-going financial insecurity due to the crisis….. I haven’t spoken anyone that was leaving or had stopped creating, but perhaps I have not been looking very well. You write that you and some other are taking out money more regular now, even daily, based on the maintenance and long pay-out time. Mentioning this in the context of your post implies that there is some connection between the TOS change and the urge of getting your money out of the game. To me this smells like panicking based on nothing but a premonition. It might even be the cause of longer pay-out time, I don’t think Linden Lab has increased the number of employees that take care of that pay-out. To answer your (double) question. How has the new TOS changed your life – It has not changed my life And what do you see around you that makes you believe there are some quiet but important changes going on amidst the populous – I see nothing, so I don’t share your believe
  4. This is +LALA Moon+ LuvCa [ Ash Silver ] made by RuRu Nagy SLURL to her mainstore The full pack is cheaper on the marketplace though.
  5. You need to install them where PS stores the filters, you cannot open them as a PS file. But beware this is what is in the blog: Multi Chan Hax is a 32bit Photoshop filter so it won’t be available from the filters menu if you choose to run a 64bit executable of Photoshop. Multi Chan Hax is also limited to Windows, so Mac and Linux users are out of the loop. Try to google on how to install filters if you are not familiair with the procedure, there is some amazing tutorial stuff out there on the net
  6. Goggling on Multi Chan Hax I found the original tutorial and blog-post Not only you will find a tutorial on how to work with it, but also links to the download files. Happy Building!
  7. Usualy the maker of the mesh avatar also provides mesh clothing templates fitting the avatar. These full perm mesh templates can be textured with normal system clothes tga or png files. Note that using these files on muscled shapes may cause severe deformation of the clothes though. But still this should be the way to dress a such an avatar
  8. Lace can be made using brushes or with ready made seamless patterns. I found 2 sites with downloads: http://www.obsidiandawn.com/lace-photoshop-patterns has patterns http://www.photoshopfreebrushes.com/lace-design-brushes/ has brushes. It is said they are for photoshop, but I know these work in Gimp as well.
  9. Indeed I agree with Morgane, you can store your brushes patterns etc in any folder either on your desktop or anywhere else on your pc. You will have to guide the Preset Manager to the correct location of the files only the first time you use them. The advantage of using a pattern overlay, in my opinion, is that you can change the scale. I usualy set the pattern overlay of the lower part to 80% of the upper part, that way the pattern is the same in both parts.
  10. Pat files are used for pattern-sets used by PS (like the extention abr is used for the a brush-set) You did right putting them in the pat folder. All you need to do is load them into your pattern screen (like you do with a new brush into your brush screen). To load a pattern set you go to Edit >> Preset Manager. From the drop down menu Preset Type you choose Patterns (Ctrl+5). Now on the right you see the load button. Perhaps you need to navigate to the correct folder the first time. Btw in this screen you can make your own pat files. Simply select a couple of patterns you like and click 'Save Set' This set is now in your pat folders! Happy Building!!!
  11. Try the following links.... Machina Matrix Video's of Candybite These I thought are very good. More Blender stuff: Blender Cookie Robyn Huffaker Succes and Happy Building!
  12. To Solstyce - thanks your reply. There is a difference between a tool and a template. The article you refer to is a kind of template. The Shading sheets can be found on the web for free, but the designer added some wrinkles and sells it to other people to use in their designs. Still it is a template and not a tool. A tool is a scripted 'machine' that builds something for you with prims. Things like bead or skirt generators, multipiers, permission changers and even creator changers. The creator of the tool cannot claim right on the itmes made with those tools. They can be given away and even sold full perms (the products, not the tool itself of course). Btw in case of the template you refer too I would not claim any rights to the eventual product either since it is only a small part of the eventual design and not a complete product. Anyway.. thanks all for the input. I guess I know what I need to know.
  13. Thanks Nefertiti - I have seen a lot of template builders do the same (setting a minimum price for reselling) I didn't realise that was illegal. Odd, but all in all it would prolly mean nothing can be done if people decide to give the item away. Shame for the residents that have paid good money hoping they will have a article to sell. Anyway.. if it is indeed not legal and I cannot hold this up or put any sanction on it when they do, I better take off this part of the EULA.
  14. I sell both tools and templates (besides sculpts and tutorials). On the tools there are no limitations on what people do with the products, but on the templates (that is textures that I uploaded, psd files that I made) there is a minimum price on the products.
  15. Thanks for the reply Cisco But what I mean is what can I do about the fact that some customers give away the products despite the EULA. Building more templates will not solve that problem I guess. That you decide not to buy from designers that use their own EULA - fair enough. That is indeed the reason for me not to list the complete EULA in each listing. I decided not to dive into the mesh business, rather stick to my skirt generators and the 'traditional' clothing templates. Doing what I am good at, rather than diving into the hype of the day ) But anyway.. that still would not be a solution to stop people from violating my EULA
