  1. I successfully changed pictures two days ago, using the "old way." Today, neither old or new way is working. The same pic I can't save (I get no Save button lighting up, nor does adding text/spaces, which does bring up the Save button, works) was saved successfully by someone else, so it is cherry picking who gets the problem. PICKS are working, not top profile or the First Life one, which have the awesome new gear system...
  2. Yep, this is the one I would get too. It even has a set up to control a model's expression and eyes.
  3. The problem with a skin's face looking great and the body looking "so so" is a prevalent issue throughout SL. Sometimes I have found skins that look overall great all over...except maybe one or two details. For new people who are okay with spending money, I always direct to LAQ, simple because the number of quality skins one gets for the money is hard to beat (I know it used to be less than 2k lindens for 20 Glow skins with hairbase variations, at least). The best looking skins I have tried lately: * Essences (somewhat limited for selection) * Glance (their newest skins are much better quality than my older ones from them) * Belleza (I think their newest have the best "layered" texture appearance, somewhat like the LQ Glow skins) * Al Vulo (although shading under the breast is tough for implants still...their group offers a free skin every month or so, too) *Pink Fuel (also somewhat limited for selection) I personally recommend searching out SL fashion blogs and looking at the skins they use. If you see one you like, just note the shop and/or slurl and visit in-world for a demo!
  4. I have to go with Ina's choice. I was unhappy with the transparency clipping from certain angles with the Xcite x4s and tried the VAW a long time ago. It looks good with the mons or without and I tend to make multiple copies, renamed, for different skins. The hud has just enough bells and whistles to cover all bases and it's a decent price. I wasn't familiar with the Ruby one mentioned but I think I will check it out also.
  5. The black blob could even just be part of a brow, so it might just be the skin. I have seen many eyebrows have a blob prim inside one's head when worn.
  6. I think Truth has a couple new mesh hair styles that are "windblown" as well as Emo-tions. The latter has a good selection of wind and water effected styles designed for photo shoots.
  7. You could also try Unorthodox, they have a selection of tattoo and prim hair/beards.
  8. Is Appearance information standard between all viewers? If so, why not just go into appearance and see the height right there? You can change it to metric there as well.
  9. Belleza, Ys&Ys, Dream Ink. The Dressing Room Fusion typically has a few skins every month with tango appliers, usually 70L, so you can try some there for little money.
  10. I have a pick set aside for the whole issue people have with guarding LMs, shop info, etc I also have the Jasmine and the Ariel hair from Lelutka; the whole princess line is pretty nice, really! For other mesh styles, I would recommend DeLa, too.
  11. I would recommend Al Vulo or Dream Ink for a good selection. Al Vulo's group gives a free skin monthly, as well. For darker or African American female skins, try Lyrical, NN/MD, Glance.
  12. Eve basically explained it. SOME clothing only requires for your blue menu to be on the "clothing" area but, after trying 8 or so designers, other clothing seems to require a selection like "dress" to pop up (so far, those that have behaved this way have worked with dress for me). Although this might seem tedious, most other implant types require wearing/attaching the applier, some even have to clicked once worn (like tiny syringes in one's hand, for example ). I am always available in-world to help anyone who needs it, feel free to IM .
