  1. Ahhh never thought about putting up a plateform, duh! lol Thanks a bunch.
  2. So on a couple occasions (due to RL workload) I've been unable to log in and pay weekly teir so of course objects were returned to me but when that happens its returned as ONE compact object. Is there a place I can go to rez this object (knowing that there will be a lot of objects that actually rez with high prim count) so that I can then take each object separately to get them back in the right folders?
  3. Trying to learn avastat add on that i just loaded and the left side bar has disappeared that allowed me to subdivide mesh object among other things? Anyone know how to bring this back?
  4. New with Avastar add on for blender. I used a defalt rigged avatar to give it a specific pose but mow i want to freeze the body to use it as a collision point only. Ill be deleting it afterwards. Can anyone point me out to a tutorial on doing this ?
  5. Thanks that helps. But how do you get it into an avatar shape so that the avatar shape flows with the amature pose I uploaded? I have both imported into blender?
  6. 1. Are there any suggested tutorials (step-by-step are my preferred) in importing both male & female avatar body to be used as a collision object? 2. After the import from my above question, are there other tutorials with importing a .bvh file (static pose) so that the above avatar(s) armature reflect the pose I had made from an outside software? I'm new to learning mesh and have just went through the basics in creating simple objects but now ready to apply these objects to an avatar for fitting purposes but I really need to have them in specific poses. Suggestions?
  7. oh wow! I didn't even know that was an option! Here you go.... I'm gonig to try getting down and cleaning out my cpu, I'm sure it's a mess. It sounds like I may have a heat issue since I know it worked like butter before. Let me know if anyone see's anything else that stands out. 8. So I'v NEVER had issues with any SL viewer, be it SL, Firestorm, etc.. Always had good performance. I took about a 3 month break and came back with an issue of my viewer freezing after about 10 minuts of play. Especially at populated places, the lag becomes so terrible and freezes my whole computer up? Any suggestions? I've searched this blog and had done a few of the common suggetions such as clean install with no luck. :(
  9. I exported a UV Map but it's just a square? Same thing as the texture I'm using?
  10. I made a mesh cloth item in Blender. I used a mesh plane, subdivided about 30 cuts and draped it over a collision object. Exported as a collda file. Imported into SL and I got this below.... Looks great and happy with it! However, when I apply a texture I bought in SL (below, which is a green cloth texture) I get this... which if you can see closley it looks like the textures are being stretched? Furthermore... There seems to be 'sections' in my object where the texture has to be applied 3X to certain sections of the object? What am I missing? I've done this before and it worked beautifully but this is the first time I've worked with cloth/plane objects. I'm new to blender and I've not ever textured inside of blender tho I know that's an option I'd rather texture in SL because I want to apply a script to change the texture to different colors. Any thoughts? lol

  12. I brought in a rigged male shape that I can pose. I want to use it as a collision object to drape a mesh plain over then delete the rigged male shape out later. I've done this before using the standard default cube and it works perfect but when I use the rigged male shape the plain just goes right through it and does not form around like it should? Yes I have the shape set as a collision. I got the rigged male shape from TurboSquid, I did not make it but having set it as a collsion is there other settngs that need to be done if its rigged or does that have anything to do with it? Lost

  14. Since rim lighting is something you can't really photoshop well into a picture I was hoping someone might be familiar with an already tutorial out there that covers this process? I've worked with light projectors for a while and can't get it right. I was hoping someone might already have something put together that demonstraits the positioning of light projectors, windlight settings, etc... that can direct me how to pull this off? I'm wanting to get a hard rim lighting effect on an avatar head, shoulders, etc..
