  1. I'd just add Kal Rau Marketplace and Fatewear Marketplace Now you have all the best ones :matte-motes-grin:
  2. OMG you are so annoying !!! The OP had a valid question and everyone here tried to give him some helpful advice. Gadget summed it up nicely "Any scripts you can dump, you should.". If the owners of the places Lawless goes to decided they wanted to reduce the script count on their land it is their choice. We get it you are a scripter, you know better than anyone how the lsl engine works; good for you. I think what Lawless wants is some way not to be removed from the places he goes to, and that's what gadget, pussycat and Marianne tried to help him achieve. Your advice to "Completely ignore those stupid meters and if somebody asks you to reduce script memory because of that thing, point at him while laughing loud!" is probably the worst advice you can give. If you come to my land and i ask you, politely, i am always polite, to reduce your prim count and your answer is to "point at me while laughing loud!" i will just kick you out and ignore you. Bah with the kind of arrogance you have displayed here i would probably kick you anyway.
  3. I must disagree. As an indicator, traffic stat was far from perfect, and yes it was easy to cheat it but at least most of the time it meant something. Sims with real traffic had a chance to come in the first results in a keyword search. Cheating needed some effort and was usually easy to spot. The sim I used to go had some real traffic around 15000-20000 a day, it never used bots. Some of the competing sims did so it was often #2 or 3 in search, but it was not a problem because people are not stupid when they come in a sim where no one answer them or are standing at 4000m they usually get it. When the linden changed search, removing the traffic from the equation this sim ended up in the third page. By searching the same keyword you had to go through 3 pages of totally irrelevant places (there was even a 2048m² empty parcel before finding the most popular place matching the theme. Changing the search only changed the way to cheat it, if anything it made it easier. It is way easier to put a few chosen words in your land description rather than having to keep an army of bots logged all the time.
  4. Hi Dresden I don't know what viewer you are using and i really don't want to start the viewers war again (pretty please !!!), but in Phoenix you could have just selected the hairs in edit mode and do a "remove scripts in selection". If there is a way to do the same thing in Viewer 2, I would be interrested to know how, i try to help everyone when i can but I don't know Viewer 2 enough to help with removing scripts. I wouldn't even start to imagine selecting each prims one after the others, i am very impressed with your stubborness :smileyhappy: And yes, no mod hairs are a no go for me either, same for shoes and basically any prim attachement. If you don't want me to be able to modify what i buy from you to fit my needs because you are affraid i could copy it then keep your precious creation I will keep my money. I wonder if it could be possible to do a script to put in the root prim which would delete scripts in all the child ones ? If one of the script gurus could answer this it could be a really handy thing to have. Marshall
  5. Ok now I am confused. All you said in this post who as far as in understand it was about trying to improve communication in SL between people whether they speak the same language or not was: Cato Badger wrote: Everybody, not just foreigners, needs to be able to understand "If you can not speak English don't waste my time". No you haven't said that you would personally say such a thing, but really that's all that you said so how could we know ? So everybody whether they speak English or not should understand that ? are you suggesting that people should put that in their profile and LL should give a training to every new non English speaking resident so they understand that sentence ? And you tell me to "get real" ? Cato Badger wrote: you will be exposing yourself to further ridicule I don't think it is exposing oneself to ridicule to point at the fact that saying to someone "if you can't speak English, and try to talk to me, you are wasting my time" is behaving like an arrogant jerk. Anyway sorry if I misunderstood the meaning of your post and overreacted, I will ignore your posts from no on. I must admit half of what you said doesn't make much sense to me, and the fact you don't bother to use the "enter" key once in a while make them painful to read.
  6. Cato Badger wrote: Everybody, not just foreigners, needs to be able to understand "If you can not speak English don't waste my time". Sighs seriously ? You are that important your are not willing to even try ? If someone approaches me in a language I don't understand, I will try to at least understand what he wants by using a translator or finding someone who understand the language. SL is confusing when you start, especially if you are not talking English, worse if you are not computer savvy. Sending the lost people to sims where they will find people talking the same language is often the best solution. Or you can just spit a venomous answer about the the fact the person talking to you is not speaking English, mute him and leave him there wrapped in your own imaginary superiority.
