Syo Emerald
I have different avatars. My furryavatar is usually not very tall compared to most human avatars, ranging around the average size for women in RL. My humanavatars are mostly taller, because most shoes tend to increase the high pretty much.

Not only are lots of avatars terribly tall, but also high heel shoes in SL tend to come with bizarre high heels! The foot bends into a really painful - and not so nice looking - angle. It makes my RL feet hurt just when I look at the very high SL heels. Ouch! :smileyfrustrated: :smileysurprised: High heels are very nice when done correctly. Extremely high heels make them look silly. <--- Alert all shoe makers, note this. Thank you very much.
Celebee
According to the SL Viewer, I am about 5 feet 9, but I have heard that the SL Viewer height measurement is not accurate, so I could quite possibly be taller. While most avatars are shorter than me (which make me think that I could quite possibly be too tall), there are some that are taller, and most of them aren't the men. But either way, I want to scale down to normal height. I'm about 4 feet 9 in real life, which would probably make me look like a kid avatar here, so I'll have to be slightly taller than that. Jo Yardley
Come and have a look at the realitic avatar creation kit in 1920s Berlin, it is free and it explains a lot about how measurements work, it helps you work on such an avatar, etc. There is also a measurement device that gives you a more accurate measurement. Celebee
Thanks! Actually, I saw your post about the realistic avatar creation kit a few pages back and went to collect it. I have since made some changes to my avatar and now, she's about 1.68m with longer arms and bigger hands. So thanks a lot, you've really been very helpful. My avatar now looks a lot better!
