Current Hair and Skin Frontrunners?

Returning to SL after a hiatus begun when Truth and LAQ were the monarchs of the hair and skin world. Enjoying reading about mesh and mesh bodies and so on. Who's tops these days in the hair and skin markets? I realize the question is subjective and all opinions/tips/recommendations are welcome. My preference is realistic/natural colors, textures, styles, and fine detail.

I don't know who's most popular or considered the best but...

Truth is still good for hair.

I also like CATWA and Damselfly. Dura is good for short styles... unless you're ginger, since most of their reddish tones are kind of odd.

little.bones is nice but I mostly like them for their wild colors, though they do have more realistic ones as well...

I would look at Magika for hair. Skins I think Glam Affair, Deetalez, Lumae. I am sure I can come up with others, feel free to msg me in world. I love to chat about stuff like this.

Seconding Lumae for skin and Magika for hair. For skins I'd add Pink Fuel, WoW, and perhaps 7 Deadly Skins. I especially like Lumae's brow shape, mass of options and unfussy appliers.

For hair I have D!va, Lelutka, Ploom, Besom, Entwined, elikatira (used to be ETD), Wasabi Pills and Emo-tions. I've never been a fan of Analog Dog, but so many people speak highly of them they deserve a mention. They all have their strengths and styles: D!va are whispy, delicate and elaborate, elikatira are usually smoother and more practical, but no less pretty. Emo-tions have a lot of edgy, alternative styles and some great fantasy looks, although their range is so huge they have plenty of realistic styles too.

Its rare for me to use Human skin  but when I do I choose Trap or Guaze for Skin and for Hear right now i use Penny and Colors

[Hush] skins are amazing. They are more expensive but worth it! Be sure to try on their demos.

Oh wow, I just went to LAQ and their skins are still amazing!! They will be having a mesh  head coming out soon too, it's gorgeous! They also sell makeup, eyes and other stuff.

Whenever I need to find more stores that I haven't considered before I go to the hair and skin fairs. I demo everything and then go to the main stores. It's practically an all day outing.
