Cat Avatars

I've seen a lot of dog avatars and everything else but no high quality made cat avatars yet..

Anyone know if cat avatars are available?

Zooby makes cat avatars, if you are wanting to actually have the animal shape.

Uf on the other hand by cat avatar you mean humanoid cat - the best cat furry AND the best 'neko' avatars are both made by the same place: AnthroXtacy.

Others can be found at slarf.org - including possible some quadropeds (animal body shape - walk on 4-legs, for the non-native english speakers).

There was a white "uchi cat" avatar biped (humanoid, walks on 2 legs) free at curious sim.

I do not know if it is still there or not.

Biped or quad? Zooby has a cute fluffy black or white quad cat. Metamorphoses has some prim cats that are cute and have a  cute HUD. And are cheap. I got other ones at a Japanese store but will have to tell you next time I am in. Unless you don't want quads.

AnthroXtacy as best catmakers? Definitly no. If I look at my cat at home, he hasn't a head like a balloon.

There are many better cats out there in my opinion.

For ferals or quadropeds:

Lost Ferals has pretty interesting avatars (cheetahs, lions, leopards) of both the two and four legged variety. Marketplace here: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/1372.

Other than that, I suggest you look at the SL Marketplace to find what you want, and then visit it in-world. Also, the Rocket City Community has a mall that features lots of different animal avatars, as does Central Av in Northstar. Both exhibit a wide variety of bipeds and quadropeds.

P.S. I am not a new resident--I've been in SL for a couple of years. I am new to the forum, however!

Ive tried many of them - and I'll stick with what I said.

DERP is good, but not nearly as good due to a crease in the sculpty where the snout hits the main head. The others just look all wrong or lack decent leg options.

Tokushi is not bad, but PG only - so it caters to a limited market. Even if you're PG 95% of the time, its not for you. I'm always PG on my furries so they're ok for me - but AX still looks better.

 

(The tail wag script in AX seems to have broken this morning though - at least on my avatar's two AX cat forms. Starting today, it seems to rotate in a full circle a bit like what I'd seen when trying my own hand at making a wag script in one of the popular open-sims. I'll have to try out some of my other AVs from other makers and see if this is a wider concern like it was in that Open Sim.)

A kitten or a fully gown house cats. Such as a Tabby, Persian, Siamese......walking on all fours...  those type of cat avatars is what I mean.

These cats are a little small. I don't know if they are a tiny. One style is fluffy and one is prim. You can see they are not expensive. Most are 222 L. When you wear this cat, a laptop appears when you type.

This place has mostly dogs. But they have some felines such as tiger or lion. It is very worth checking out. They also sell AO and sea creatures. These cost a little more. Maybe 500 to 800 L.

Make sure to notice the AO is always sold separately here.
