Hi, I'm semi-new to the sim! I would like to know where I can find good mesh/skin/etc for a young African American girl. I've looked in the Marketplace and I couldn't find any. SO will someone please help me? Thanks!

Hi, when you say mesh do you mean mesh body, mesh head?

I have tried Akeruka head demos and they just don't feel right YMMV.

I can't recommend it, it has no animations and Genesis lab heads are so difficult to fit mesh eyes to. I use IKON eyes on my avatars. The lashes also started to float away from the head after a few days, without me editing head or shape.

 

I would say go for one Catwa head with Pepe skin. It is more than one Catwa head, try them all with a skin demo of your choice. LeLutka heads is also rock solid quality, never issues with parts stopping to work on Catwa and Lelutka. and you can purchase super cornrows for it. http://strawberrysingh.com/2015/05/21/fun-with-mesh-heads/

Analog Dog, bOOn and EMO-tions is my go-to places for curly, braided and cornrows hair.

I don't have any child avatars, but they have a community in SL and you can search for Marianne McCann and ask if she can recommend something. And "safe" groups, it is some groups who are not so innocent... You can ask questions in group chat. I know about a blogger, but she posts fair and blond looks only, and smaller children.
