Dora Gustafson
Use the World map! You get no better way to find mainland where you want, at the size you want and at the price you want :smileysurprised::smileyvery-happy:
Muletta
Hi Kuleer, the smallest plots you can buy are 16 sqm. If you want to buy a plot on mainland, you have to be premium member. In your toolbar, hit the search-button for land sales, and you can sort by size...click on the text and tp to the places, to go land-shopping
beethros Karas
Hello Kuleer Kanto Yes, there are smaller plots than 512m in Secondlife. You dont define if you like to rent one or to buy one. Whats the difference? To buy a plot, you need to pay US$99 to Secondlifeand become premium and then you have the rights to use a 512m parcel (or smaller) with no extra fees. To rent one, all you need to do is to trust a landlord and pay to them a weekly fee. ( usually L$200 or less) Rentals comes usually with some permissions on land, or in some cases with full permissions, so it is almost the same as if you were a premium member. Wish you good luck in your exploration! Cheers, beethros Karas

This means, that if your landlord suddenly stops paying Linden Lab, your money and your land will *poof* disappear, with no refund. A landlord can also change your rights overnight, if he/she wants to...and you can do nothing about it. If you buy mainland, you are paying directly to Linden Lab after each month, where you have owned the land. As long as you pay, your land is safe. Linden Lab will not suddenly take it away from you. Besides that, LL will not suddenly change the covenant of your land either, just because they feel like it. To make a choice here, all depends on you...but I think this facts also have to be mentioned....Good luck, finding exactly what suits you best .... :matte-motes-smile:
Persephone Emerald
When you become a Premium member, you can buy a 512 m parcel without having to pay a monthly tier. If you buy land for a group with at least one other avatar (which can be a free alt account), you can own up to 560 m without paying a monthly fee. If you make your alt account a premium one, you can have 1120 m without paying a monthy fee. This is the most cost-effective way to own a small parcel for a home. With 2 premium accounts, you'd pay $ 72 twice a year ($ 144/ year), but would get back enough lindens in your 2 weekly stipends so that your actual cost is only about $18 to $20 / year. Then you need to make a 3rd alt that's a free account though, so if your premium accounts are ever suspended for late payments or whatever, your free alt can come in & take care of any bussiness for you. - I'm telling you this because I don't know why you'd want a parcel that's smaller than 512 m. The more square meters you have, the more prims (or land imact) you get to use. Also a square or nearly square parcel, such as the standard 1024 m parcel, fits more houses or skyboxes than a 512 m parcel does.
