Conference/ meeting spot, fully furnished wanted to rent for 2 days - 1 week

I am doing research into the cost and availability of renting a pre-furnished and setup conference/ chat space that could be rented to use as a private chat room during a virtual/video academic conference that will last 1 - 2 days with approx. 20 - 70 guests. Would only be used as social chat room but would need to be able to restrict access to registrants and would also want to be able to import and display up to 20 posters, from the conference speeches. Therefore, art gallery showrooms maybe more suitable as a venue.

Does anyone have some suitable places for rent I could see and get prices of?

August is a long way from now.. 

The best option is to rent it directly from SL ... Please look to this previous post just about the same question..

Lots of landlords can build a conference Hall in a jiffy, but that would be better to disgus at July.

Hi,

I'm curious why you put this request under "Mainland" because to be honest, a mainland parcel would not offer the best security, since ideally you would want a space you could completely close off and have a group or list with names for entry, i.e. a homestead would be more useful. You could also make the conference host a temporary manager of your island so they could control the door.

Of course, you could make a mainland parcel "group only" with access only to that group but that might mean having to change the grouped land.

Yes, it might be better to get even a mainland list from the Lindens closer to the date.

The other issue is getting 70 people comfortably at one time on that venue. A mainland sim can only hold 45. So you'd need a private island sim for this.

Thanks for yor reply I have copied your note card to pass on the info in it. I notice that the larger hall is the only one still showing I assume the card also applies to it. One issue someone brouht up is how many avatars could the venue hold at one time.

I was actually hoping for something a little more like a gallary to show all the posters in, but I supose a slide show of them would also work, unless you have something more suited? 

Are there any other cost I should be aware of?

How would we go about restricting entry to the venue?
