You have a simple case of common bake fail.  Read http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_bake_fail

If it becomes a chronic prolem, pay attention to your Internet connection.  Get off wireless and use a DSL or cable connection to the Internet.  Wireless is neither recommended nor supported by Linden Lab and can result in signal corruption or loss.  Also, reboot both your router and your modem every once in a while.

Rolig provided the primary fixes and causes of bake fail.

A quick first step is to switch to the Test Avatar. This removes any problem attachments and quickly tells you if it is the avatar-viewer or something outside the viewer. In the top menu click Develop->Avatar->Character Tests->Test Male/Female. If there is no DEVELOP in the top menu, press Ctrl-Alt-Q.

You can then start with a item-by-item restore of your avatar.

It happens that after a crash, the Current Outfit Folder (COF) may develop problems. Changing the avatar to Test Male/Female clears the folder and rebuilds the current outfit.
