Whats it mean when it says: unable to connect to simulator?

there are rolling restarts... it mostly means the region you try to go is offline

first thing to try is another region

Hi Leiane, 

As Alwin said, you get that message when the region (simulator) you are trying to reach is offline. Regions can go offline for a number of reasons such as crashes, owner invoked restarts, or rolling grid maintenance updates. The most common cause is the latter and those are usually scheduled to happen on Tuesdays. You'll find the schedule and updates here...
