Unable to create requested object message for all inventory items. What's going on?

Question

Cannot rez items, Cannot wear items.  Clothing I am wearing is greyed out.

There is obviously as asset server problem going on at the moment, as you will find most people are getting similar messages.

There is no official word yet and as there are rolling restarts going on I suspect everything will get blamed on that until it is finished.

EDIT: Check status report - There is a current problem reported now  http://status.secondlifegrid.net/

Asset and Region Issues

We are currently experiencing issues with some of our central services, which may cause issues with L$ purchases, inventory, teleporting, login failures, and region availability. Please refrain from L$ transactions or rezzing no-copy items until this issue is resolved.  Our network team is working on this issue, and expects to have it resolved soon. Hey, Fern!  (/me waves)

In addition to the server problems that seem to be bothering everyone this morning, it looks like you are running the 1.23 viewer on an old laptop.  It appears to meet SL's minimum standards, but may be having a hard time keeping up. You might check to be sure that the drivers for the graphics card are up to date.  Also, if you have been using it with a wifi connection, try switching to a direct cable to cut down on interference and possible bandwidth loss.  Finally, consider using a different viewer (V2 or one of the approved TPVs) to see if you get better performance.  An increasing number of SL's newer features are unavailable to residents who are still on 1.23.
