Prims created in RC Magnum sim are phantom even though not checked

Question

Seems that every prim I create is phantom.  In isolating the problem, it appears to only happen in an RC Magnum sim.  If I create a prim elsewhere, it is normal.  If I take that normal prim to the RC Magnum sim, it stays normal.    If I link the false phantom prim to a normal prim, it acts normal.   If I link it to other prim created in the RC Magnum sim the linked object acts phantom .   If I take a "broken" prim into inventory, rez it in a standard software sim, it works normal.  And when I return to the RC Magnum sim and drop that prim out of inventory, it is now normal

Been driving me crazy!!!     Anyone heard of this issue?

Thx

--Cinn

It is only one particular sim.  I will check the when the next restart for RC Magnum mainland is scheduled and then either wait til then or have the landowner I'm building for request a restart.   Thx everyone for the fast response turn around :)

Restart fixed the issue. thanks again to everyone who responded :)  --Cinn

Do you mean one specific Magnum sim or all of them? I'm at a Magnum sim rezzing prims right now and they all are perfectly solid.

If you nly tested at one Magnum sim, you may want to request a restart of it. I've had similar things happen at two of my sims at various times (neither of them Magnum, one is a regular one, the other Blue Steel) and both times a restart fixed it.

Cinnamon,

There seem to be a number of issues with the latest RC Second Life Release Viewer version 4.0.2.310545

http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Release/4.0.2.310545

I submitted a JIRA Report on a linked object over prim text issue just today.

Try reproducing your issue using a clean install of the current viewer being pushed from the web site.

If it does not reproduce, please file a JIRA bug report.

I suspect that region has reached it's limit for Memory Allocated.

When this happens, attempting to rez any object from inventory is likely to give you the message "Unable to rez object that has caused problems on this region" or when rezzing a fresh prim via build tools, the prim will rez but it will have no physics.

Open stats with CTRL+SHIFT+1, Simulator -> Physics Details -> Memory Allocated.

If this is a Homestead region, once memory allocated reaches ~230 MB, the region will shut down rezzing to protect itself.

On a full region the limit is ~900MB.

Restarting the region will fix the problem.
