I have a Toshiba labtop. Intel windows 7. I have been having graffic problems with second life.

I want to play Second Life.  Everything was always gray ans lagging.  Now when I log into SL, its just says server can not connect.   My system is fine.  Please help!

How do you know that your system is fine?

First, check to be sure that your computer meets LL's recommended standards >>> https://secondlife.com/my/support/system-requirements/index.php?lang=en-US

Then, if it does, try rebooting both your modem and your router by unplugging them for at least a minute or two.  Then, check to be sure thatg your firewall is not restricting access >>> http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/How_do_I_configure_my_software_firewall_%28such_as_Norton_Internet_Security,_McAfee_Personal_Firewall,_or_ZoneAlarm%29

If those solutions do not work, you may need to uninstall your SL viewer and install a different one.  You may install either an earlier version of LL's V2 viewer or one of the excellent third party viewers.

Sounds to me your issue is more of a slow connection. You need atleast a DSL modem to use SL comfortably
