Extreme LAG even with Good Speed and Low Ping, Please Help.

Hi guys, I've been on SL for over 5years now, and i have quit coming online because i have no option to reduce this annoying Lag. i have the best broadband of my country with the speed of 31mbps and ping upto 14ms. Having high graphics on my computer, Second life Lags like crazy. Need Help. I want to get back to SL. Please any help?

Those are not very terrific figures, especially the ping time.

Try using the free Google public DNS servers and see if you get better internet performance.

Lindal, I'm getting 100ms ping time in the Statistics Bar, and everything is moving along quite nicely. Surely 14ms isn't an issue, right?

Lindal????? - 31 Mbps is an excellent download speed and 14ms ping is well within the nominal response speed for any ISP supplied service. Even if the OP meant 3.1 Mbps the speed is not the issue. Perhaps they are losing a lot of packets due to using a Wireless Connection. That will introduce a lot of visible lag.
