Email attachments missing?

Question

Hi! When I receive announcement emails from Second Life Groups, there are never any attachments, even though many of the messages specifically say 'this message has an attachment'. What is missing is often a URL linking to an event or location within Second Life. I DO receive attachments on emails from other sources using the same account and webmail viewer. Is this a settings issue, or a known problem? Is there a work-around? Thanks!

Attached assets such as landmarks (which are not URLs) and notecards are not Email attachments. They will not go to Email because they're in-world assets, whose text and other attributes can't be parsed by the notification daemon.

You can recover them by logging in and looking at your Notifications, or the Group Info (for the notice history).

Since this is expected behaviour, there is no workaround. Although you could encourage group owners to send hyperlinks to "more information" blog posts that you would then be able to read offline.
