who do I contact about a marketplace purchase that did not have the item advertised in purchase

I purchased a texture off marketplace and it was not as it  was advertised.  Have contacted seller with no response back.  I either want the texture as it should have been or a refund back.

i'm affraid that if the seller doesn't respond you'r out of luck.

So I take it Markeplace does nothing and allows people to post an item to sell without checking into the listing. That way, many can sell a texture that is not the item and take the money and no one does a thing about it. If this item was 10L, I would not be so angry about it but it cost me 50L.

The only thing you can do is flag the listing that what you got is not as advertised.  LL will review it and if true remove the listing.

Alwin's right, only the seller can refund the money or send the correct texture.  Be patient though, sellers have RL's and do not log on every day.  They also get sick, go out of town or have RL emergencies that prevent them from logging in for periods of time.
