When in MP, I cannot purchase or receive demos or any item that is$L0, why?

Actually you can........here is the trick.

When you finally go to pay you notice that you are presented with a page that looks like this one:

Scroll to the bottom of the page to complete the sale. This is a Up-sell page to try to get you to actually spend L$s on this purchase invoice rather than simply getting away with the L$0 only purchase.

Press that [ Place your order ] button.

If you have a negative $L balance, you can't get even freebies or demos.  Pay what you owe!

Your balance can go negative for a number of reasons (besides buying too many shoes.)  The usual reason is that you belong to one or more groups that charge their members a portion of group fees such as Search listings for group-owned land.  Many group owners are not even aware that this is the default setting.  If you find any of your groups where this is the case, either discuss it with the group owner or leave that group to avoid small, recurring charges.
