Jaibop
What bug could lock up my profile? How can I get rid of this bug?
ObviousAltIsObvious
what do you mean by locked? if you are seeing a padlock icon in the profile window, click on the lock and you can type in your regular username and password from there. this is supposed to happen automatically when you log in on the viewer, but sometimes that doesn't go as planned. Prokofy Neva
That's not acceptable that it "doesn't go as planned" even "sometimes." That's what we call 'a bug.' Logging into Second Life via the viewer ONCE should be sufficient. You shouldn't have to be forced back to the landing page on the web to re-log *every time you view a profile*. This is hugely annoying because you can't IM people or pay people in many cases until you push through that log-on. Unacceptable.
Azure Sands
Any ETA on this particular bug being fixed? Is the solution to just return to an older viewer? Given how slow profiles already load. Having to login every time you wish to view other profiles or even edit your own. It takes ten times longer. This is quite a problematic issue that should not be ignored. Whirly Fizzle
Theres a fix for this in QA & the Maintenance-RC viewer will hopefully be updated soon to include that fix. https://bitbucket.org/lindenlab/viewer-bear/commits/62122bc8954258c4e63f955080ccbce2779bb854
