Waiting for SL to shut down message, what for?

I'm not logged in there but am getting this repeatedly when trying to load the latest viewer.

Hi bebejee,

On the very rare occasion I see a message like that on my Mac, it's caused by an app that shut down incorrectly, leaving some task running. The app that's trying to launch bangs into that and throws a fit.

If you attempted to install the latest viewer while the old one was still running, I suppose it's possible that some portion of the old viewer that was needed to shut down went missing and left the running viewer dangling. If my wild guess is correct (and I've little reason to believe it is), a reboot of your computer would fix that problem.
