Problem to show up the grids selection menu on my startup screen

Hello,

here's the problem I encounter:

I'm on Windows 7-64 bits - Home Edition and I installed the official viewer, 3.8.5.305531 release.

I try to activate the dropdown menu to choose the grids (I would actually be able to connect to the Beta grid) through the menu Me > preferences > Advanced and selecting "Show Grid Selection at login".

The problem : when I do that action, nothing happens, the interface and the gate select dropdown menu do not appear on my screen !

I tried to manually delete my configuration files in:

C: \ Users \ MyUserName \ AppData \ Roaming \ SecondLife

... believing that the problem could come from it, but without result ! :-s

Currently I don't know what to do to solve this problem ! Do you have an idea ?

I haven't seen the problem. My viewer shows the grid selector.

Often settings fail to stick because the viewer can silently crash on exit. I suggest launching the viewer. Without logging in make the setting change and close the viewer. With any luck the setting will be changed and you'll see the selector on restart.

If that fails try one of the RC viewers and see if it will save the setting. Once it sticks you can change back to the main viewer.

You can read the SL Viewer log to see if the viewer is having a problem on exit.

If none of these steps fix the problem, file a JIRA bug report.
