Dora Gustafson
Invisi prims were supported until recently except in advanced lighting.mode Invisi prims are used in many boats to keep water out :smileysurprised::smileyvery-happy:

They were a "hack" that happened to work but all along LL warned that they might get broken. When advanced lighting was introduced they did break. This was the subject of many long discussions such as THIS ONE. There was also if I recall correctly a very long JIRA arguing for keeping them at the time but LL said, "nope." As to your current problem I have no idea. Can't get In World at the moment to look for myself.
Perrie Juran
And I just found this, a possible solution. See Innula's comment. https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Technical/with-the-latest-Viewer-2-download-my-shoes-are-showing-black-or/qaq-p/979771 Edited to strike. See Theresa's coment below. See Innula's comment. https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Technical/with-the-latest-Viewer-2-download-my-shoes-are-showing-black-or/qaq-p/979771 The change Dora noticed was made in the Maintenance viewer a few days ago and was just promoted to the release viewer. If you have something no-mod that uses invisiprims it's broken (well, even MORE broken.) The trick Innula mentioned doesn't appear to work with the current situation. If you have mod rights and don't want to unlink things you can change the invisiprim to a transparent texture. Note that some invisiprims had/have a script in them that constantly changes them from one of the two invisiprim textures to the other: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-11562

This is one that creates a Dry Dock was built by a Mole (crazy.mole) on Nautilus. It's very sad that certain developers are so willing to break long standing in world content without providing an alternative.
jmlamonico
Would this issue also cause the cuvette (raised magnifying area) on my watch to display like this?
