tonytarheel
There was a thread a few years ago that asked this, and there was a response that said to right click on a place in your landmarks and choose "create pick". But I tried that, and I don't have that option.
Drake1 Nightfire
You have to go to that place and then hit "New" in the picks tab of your profile.
tonytarheel
You have to go to that place and then hit "New" in the picks tab of your profile. I don't see that, Do I have to hit edit profile, or settings first?
beethros Karas
Hello Tony. If you right mouse click on a Landmark it opens a pop up menu and then in the very bottom it has an option called: "Create Pick" The reason why you don't see it its because: You looking to your landmarks through your inventory folders. It doesn't work that way. You need to find your Landmarks through the "Places" button of your SL action bar. That button it is symbolized with a Globe.. and it is called: Places -- Places You've saved. Open that menu and then select the landmark you want to create a pick, right mouse click on it and in the very bottom you will finally see the desirable button "create a pick" cheers , beets! beethros Karas
Well.... I'm sorry I don't use your/our SL language to guide newbies... What WE call toolbar buttons.. in "every" other game/virtual world its called action bar. Here is a screenshot i found in google as about it. After 7 years in world , we should be a little more open. and NO.. it is not so easy.. If it was, they would never post them questions here... Try your self to enter to SL Viewer and open your profile.... First of all it takes ages to open.. then since you are a newbie, you don't know whats picks.. and even if you find them, then where is the "NEW" button? So, why to bother with opening profiles, while it is only 1 click far away? That's why I didn't bother to teach them to open them profiles, and I insist in how to teach them to learn to do it through their "action button" aka toolbar button called PLACES Cheers Drake I drat the chance to ask I am SORRY for all the misunderstoodings in the past.. To be honest, I was thinking you was someone else ;P (Jason Draconia) It is the "Drak" that makes the trouble Once again! I am SORRY... Cheers! CheriColette
The way I do it (and I use Firestorm Viewer) Is.... in world, click on my Avi...chose profile...PICK...new. Save pick. And later can click back to it and change things, like different photo and any story you want to write. And yes, I found it hard to find out how to do this too, in the end I had to ask someone. tonytarheel
Beetros: ty for your help, That worked! Chericolette: I must be blind, because I still don't see a "new" button on my picks page. It is me, profile, then picks, right? Or am I doing it wrong? I am using the standard SL viewer, btw. And for that you had to stop your teaching to him and say: "But glad you got it sorted " , while he ask you for more help. So, if there isnt any experiance in world, please simply stay out, DONT answer. You make things more difficult for newbies.

Which is why i asked what viewer they were using, you know, back when you replied it didn't matter? Guess what? Different viewers have different settings. Don't get all high and mighty because you use the SL viewer. Approved viewers are just that, approved for ANYONE to use. And all those features you like in the SL viewer, they came from the TPVs first. Take your apology and shove it. You come across as a stuck up prig, who thinks their poop doesn't stink. beethros Karas
I have to admit i had more than 6 months to make a pick. I open my profile, I go to picks and I see there nothing to allow me to create a pick. So, you are NOT blind. What I did was to delete whatever picks I had, so i can feel like NEW and so there appear in the top of the profile picks menu page, a frace: No picks found. Create a pick. So, thats what you need to do in order to create a pick. Open your profile by right mouse clicking on your avatar and select "my profile" Then at the top of the page you see it says FEED ABOUT PICKS GROUPS Click picks and you there! Now you can see the Create a pick button. When you will need to add 1 more pick using this way ( from the profile) you will need to do the following: Open your profile. Go to Picks. Click in any of the existing picks. Then at the top right you see: Edit Click that. Now it open a new menu and there you see your pick ready to be edited. Click CANCEL Now it pop you back to the Picks menu where you can see in the very left bottom a TINY little cross symbol. Thats IS what we need to create a new pick from when in an open profile. We Done! ( At the same page at the right bottom there is a rabish bin. That is what we click in case we want to delete a pick. I guess was way easier to do it through the "places" Landmark menu Now to make things easier for this case.. A good way to open that Pick menu is to go to: "Me" then look the 6th option it says: Picks.. Click it and pops up the Picks menu and then do as I say above.. click the cross to create a pick. The BEST way to open the picks menu is to use the Action button ( toolbar button) for it To find that button, Right mouse click in any of the Action buttons you have and then select "Toolbar buttons.." That opens a menu where you can find all the "action/toolbar buttons we have" Select the one called Picks ( It is the one with the PIN SYMBOL, as you can see in my interface in the picture bellow at the very left bottom of my action buttons.) and Drag it next to your other toolbar buttons! But once again, I still prefare the Landmark way. P.S. I am sorry because my native language isnt English and so I am using terms that maybe different than the usual and i bet my syntax its funny as well as my accent. But I really want to believe that I am doing good, since as we say here where I live.. A picture is 1000 words Cheers , beets!

I am not having a bad day Opposite I am so glad for being alive for one more day! I spoke the truth. You said to him that he is using a different viewer. That was your answer. Yes you did say your glad because he sorted. But then...WHY you didn't stop there? Why you had to make the comments: Tony uses a different Viewer? Like he is the dump and we are the clever? You should NOT do that. If you really wanted to help, you should spend some time and answer as i did.. You should answer it for HIM.. not for YOU And actually if you was going to do that, your answer would be 100 times BETTER than mine, because of your English. Ough. Im sorry If my post was kinda strict. I admit I could be more "polite" Cheers beethros Karas.

Different viewers have different settings. <-- I already answer that . It works the same for all viewers in that case. Don't get all high and mighty because you use the SL viewer. <--- I use both Viewers. Daily! ( i am a creator and a chatter) Take your apology and shove it. You come across as a stuck up prig, who thinks their poop doesn't stink. <--- That really makes my life hard. I need to open a dictionary to translate it and I am so tired to argue for nothing. I have better things to do And as i final comment for you.. All viewers are good. I never said the opposite. Some other people did. Bouncing boobies and 2 attachments per location - that was Emerald. Everything else came from the official viewer - including not just 2 per location, but unlimited, and not just bounding boobies but butts and bellies too, for reasons or something. There ARE other things in some of the TPVs - but they've not been put into the official. Things like RLV or choosing your Z-axis from the chat bar. Nalates Urriah
As the discussion shows, adding new Picks is pretty well hidden. Now that you know how to add them, you need to know the LIMIT is 10 picks.
