Nicoia
I am not very good at this and I want to change my settings from default to better. Currently my graphics are on High. I know its possible to edit sky settings and other things to make you avatar and surrounds look even more beautiful. I just have no idea how or where I can find some settings that others may use. I know that most images of avatars are probably enhanced with Photoshop but I know my avatars appearance can look better in world too! Especially since I've since I spent all these lindens buying the right stuff! Now I just want to make it POP If you know what I mean.
Charolotte Caxton
You want windlight settings. You can create your own or get some here, http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/WindLight_Settings a lot of the links are dead, but keep looking, you will find some good ones. Personally, one of the best I've used for default is Nams Optimal Prim and Skin, available in the Exodus viewer and maybe other places. I've collected several and once I find out how to share them, I will.
Ry0ta Exonar
Some skin stores like Redgrave provide a notecard for Optimised setting in their store and Laq provides one in their website (http://www.laqroki.com/how_to_get_an_even_light_on_your_avatar.html ). I happened to upload one here (http://www.sendspace.com/file/0120ne ) as per a customer's request the other day. And TPVs like Firestom have lots of presets, so you may want to try various settings to find what you like. And if you don't want to use TPVs, you can just get xml files for sky setting from their folder in your computer and use them for the official viewer. You can learn how to install them on the page Charolotte presented.
Nicoia
Ok I will try and do some research with the links you provided me. I use the newest sl viewer for now. These settings will still work right?

Hunter Stern
Hi Nicoia You stated you are using V3 currently ( which I presumed since you posted in this forum ) here is a link to another thread that is about adjusting water settings, but infact you can use the same steps for your sky and overall settings as well. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Art-Music-and-Photography/Make-a-custom-water-setting/td-p/1439657 Also note that in Viewer 3, if I recall you can't actually 'save' your changes per sessions and infact that is covered as well in the above link thread. Nicoia
I can't open rar files though. I have to remember where I got my free rar program from on my old computer and install it on this new one I bought to play SL.
