Offline IMs, group invitations sent to email but lost or delayed in-world

This has happened to me a couple times now, I think starting about the same time as the increase in the number of offline IMs retained for premium members.

Today, for example, I saw email about an IM from one user and a group invitation from another, but when I logged in to the (premium) account, neither appeared for the hour or so duration of that session. Another hour or so later I logged in again and that IM appeared, but the group invitation seems to be lost forever.

Anybody else seeing something like this recently, more than usual? I could add a jira if it seems associated with the new limit, but not if it's just steady-state flakiness.
