This is a predominately user-to-user forum. To reach the Lindens that can actually implement a fix, you need to file a JIRA Bug Report. For months now the Lindens have been working on the group chat system. It has gotten much better in that time. But, they are still chasing an intermitant problem that locks up the chat servers. When that happens a collection of groups go down. Someone has to get support staff to restart the problem chat server. A couple of weeks ago the Lindens added more debugging software to chat trying to trap the problem. Chat changes get rolled out with little or no announcement.
