ardman787 Boa
Hi! I've created my desired mesh, in blender, created the desired faces through materials, then upon importing into second life when textures are applied, the become a single colour from that texture. For example, if the texture were a sea, it would be a single shade of blue, which changes as the texture is rotated/streched/aligned etc... to other shades of blue. No amount of streching/minimisng fixes the problem. Attached below are screenshots of the mesh in second life with the demonstrated texture stretching. and in blender. The textures I'm using are displayed next to the mesh. http://imgur.com/a/D1Xxa Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Jai
Aquila Kytori
Hi My first guess .................. You didn't mention anything about UV Unwrapping the faces of your mesh ? The 2D texture needs to know how it is "mapped" to the surfaces of the 3D mesh. This is done by a process called UV Unwrapping/mapping (and editing). If this is new to you check out some Blender UV unwrapping tutorials on Youtube This is quite an old one but Jonathan Williamson is good at explaining all things Blender. ardman787 Boa
Oh god, such a stupid mistake! x'D I've been out of building for a while and completely forgot to UV unwrap it. Thanks very much, works like a charm now! Jai
