Hello,

I'm trying to work with TMP mesh kit in 3ds max, but there are some very weird things happening.

The package comes in .fbx format. Version 1.0 of the package was first released with very weird looking topology but usable (I guess). After creating a very tight dress around the body and uploading, the dress fits almost perfectly around the body which means the body (in the .fbx) is Ruth shape. Copying the weights from the body to the dress works nice in 3ds max (with this specific case) and all animation and pose tests are okay. Same tests on the uploaded version produce poking on the hips and under the hands. I concluded that kit and in-world versions of the body don't have same weights, so I went and grabbed new version - 1.1. Now this version is with different topology and shape (more curvy, but not Ruth ?) but I believe have same weights.

It's very confusing. I know I'm working correctly because this is not my first rigging etc but I don't know. I want confirmation that someone have problems too i guess :)

Thank you very much for spending time reading this.

Regards

I can't help you with your mesh software issues but as I long time blogger I CAN say that VERY FEW designers are designing for TMP -- meaning that when I see it in a group of mesh body styles  I am surprised.

It was one of the very first brands with a mesh body and had plenty of issues at the outset -- you may know that. So it could easily be that it is NOT you :D.   I personally don't know anyone using that body, so unless you have a real reason to design for it, one of the more popular bodies might be a place to spend your time.

And of course you may already have the other bodies covered - LOL.   Good luck solving your problems. You might want to contact TMP for more info.
