hello

we are trying to do mesh shoes, my friend designed the shoes in Maya 2016 and did the rigging

once shoes uploaded, rigg in not working. is there something special to do for the rigg to work ? (like special export options from maya or special upload options in sl ? or somehitng else?)

thank you

First of all, in the importer the "Include skin weight" option has to be ticked, under the Upload Options tab.

If that option is greyed out, the Gotchas and workarounds section on that wiki page might help.

Alternatively you could try to upload the shoes with the Project Bento viewer, which should be able to import riggs which doesn't have the full list of required bones.

thank you for the links

he has followed the workarounds, and tested many options, we still have an issue

at all our tests, the shoes is screwed up, bended

we dont understand what is wrong, in maya, the rig simulation is perfect.

any idea?

Looks like the shoe is upside down also. That's odd indeed. Have you guys checked out that Basic Rigging in Maya - Video Tutorial by resident Sae Luan on that wiki page I had linked earlier?

Maybe some Maya users will chime in and have an idea what could be wrong?
