Modo Indie to Second Life - Export issues

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else uses Modo Indie and was able to successfully export to SL?

If so, please can you explain your process?

I read that the Autodesk .fbx converter would do the job of converting from .fbx to .dae (Indie only exports to .fbx or .obj); however when I attempt to upload my converted file to SL I get the error "Missing required level of detail".

Is there an export setting or scene requirement I'm missing?

The only work around I've found so far is to import the file to another 3D modeling suite and export again from there. If I could remove that step it would significantly improve my workflow though.
