Help me to find a good place for a store?

Hey guys,

I currently own a mainstore somewhere in mainland, it's working out okay, but I feel I would need to expose myself more, I'm terrible at finding crowded spots, like nowadays, there are a lot of role play sims that I could choose from, but I don't know many that are store friendly, and with this I mean: A sim that has a welcome area with stores by the sim rules and sim info (for example)

I have been away from SL for a long time, can anyone help me with this?

Check out the region "Existence"

I host active mainstores there, we just cleared out the inactive shops and have openings for new mainstores.
The residents get very communal and make pathways leading to each others shops.  May be what you are looking for.

Out of personal experience, i'd recommend;

1. Have something worth visiting for free
   Some people give away freebies or have nice scenary, items to try, or w/e.
   This'd bring more to your visitors than "come'ere n gim'me wad a dosh $$$"
2. Buy traffic through advertisements.
   Find another place with little shops but lots of traffic, and purchase advertisements.
   Utilize #1 to have people pay more attention to your ads => more chance of visiting => more chance of sales
3. Monitor your traffic
   This' important cause you wanna know if people stick around for 5 minutes or 5 seconds.
   If people don't stick to see all of your selection, they won't know truely if there's something they'd wanna buy

OStuey speaks the truth. Walk thru traffic is good but you should try testing out various forms of advertising. Its just another aspect of virtual business that should be explored.
