Jimbo Mimulus
Hi All, I've been in SL for nearly 3 years & as of yet, havn't managed to find a place where other Brits hang out. I'm not really interested in the club scene (unless there's some good oldies playing) & pixelated porn (imho) is a waste of computer resources. So .... if you know of a place to chill, or indeed if you own a place that is frequented by Brits ... please either let me know here ... or if it's a secret, you could always drop me some cryptic clues to my IM box inworld :smileyvery-happy: Look forward to hearing from you :smileyhappy:

Venus Petrov
I will give you the obviouis: The London sims. I have been there a couple of times and there are always a bunch of folk hanging about the landing point at the London England UK sim.
Rolig Loon
Yup. Head for the London England UK sim. You'll land in Hyde Park if you go HERE. There is always a good crowd hanging about, and they have suggestions about where you might go to find other people from the UK. You might also consider joining a group like London Community to meet people who can make other suggestions.
Cato Badger
Bars. Not necessarily singles bars. My experience of them is that quite a few drink doubles.
Josephina Bonetto
I'm a Brit and own a hangout but it has to be said we don't exclusively only have Brits there. Regulars include Brits, Romanians, Americans and even a couple of New Zealanders. If you want more Brits than that it probably isn't your thing, it is very unpredictable nationality wise. Peewee Musytari
Best Brit place ever was The Three Lions....Sadly it closed and everyone got scattered to different hangouts. I`ve never seen another place like it before or since
Ian Undercroft
The Blarney Stone pub in SL Dublin has a significant Brit presence.

YT Upsilon
I'm a Brit, and I agree, we don't really go around SL shouting "HI! I'm a Brit - I'm a Brit!" I went to SL London once and if there were any Brits around, they hid as soon as they saw me. That said, I like hanging around with people from all over. I met a guy from Peru the other day (well he said he was from Peru) - I mean how cool is that! Peru! He didn't know who Paddington was though. The pub in SL Dublin over St Patrick's Day might be a good bet. (I'm the one with the pint of Guinness). LOL
Jo Yardley
At a Comic Relief sim? Is there one? If there isn't, there should be. And hopefully after seeing the excellent drama on the BBC with Dr Who (Matt Smith) as writer Christopher Isherwood in 1920s-1930s Berlin hopefully a few Brits will pop over to our Berlin sim http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00ztfl9
Ian Undercroft
Mmmm! So, I may have seen Pep hanging out in his full glory at the Wild Coast? Sadly, any such sighting makes no impression on my memory. I'm not sure whether that says more about the poor state of my memory or other things. YT Upsilon
Hi Jo, I have a Dalek, can I bring him along too? BTW - thanks for the rolling pin. It's very useful for scaring off daters.
Jo Yardley
Hahahaha! Odly enough 1920s Berlin has had a certain attraction to dr Who(s) and friends for a while. Coincidence that dr Who is going to be a gay writer in 1920s Berlin on the BBC this friday? http://www.bbc.co.uk/tv/comingup/christopher-and-his-kind/ Our priest used to enjoy rezzing priests in his basement, but unfortunately in public its not allowed. BUT if enough dr Who's ask us, we will gladly organise a Dr Who day at Berlin some time. We also have Relaxed Rules day soon when everyone is welcome in modern outfits, as furry, etc. So Dr Who, police phone boxes and daleks are welcome to visit us that day. AND if you want permission to ignore our dress code for a photo shoot or to make a video, just ask.

We struck up a conversation but since we were both clothed at the time, i cannot claim to have had the 'full-on' experience -- yet. :smileywink:
