Yes search is your friend (search for size and price) and unless it is protected land or waterfront you shouldn't spend more than a linden a prim. You can often get for less :D.  OR look around the map. Find what size yellow square is 1024 and you can click on most to see their price. You can learn a LOT from a map photo.

You've posted this to a thread in the Mainland forum. That's not likely to be a useful audience for your topic, which might be more productively posted as a thread in Region Rentals: Homestead. You might ask the moderator to move it over by using "Report Inappropriate Content" on your own post. (Anybody else might do that, too, of course.)

Also, in your own best interests, you may want to warn prospective joiners-in on your venture about the limitations of Homestead sims, lest they use up all your new region's resources. Your "1,250+ Prims" is probably already apportioning the Homestead's restrictive land impact capacity, but you may also want to mention the 20-avatar limit (only 20% of the standard full-sim) and general usage limitations ("lightweight use cases such as low-density rentals, light commercial ventures, or quiet residental areas"). A homestead's practical script capacity (memory, count, and processing time) is also only about a quarter that of a normal sim, but unless somebody has breedables or something special, the land impact limit is likely to constrain the script usage anyway.
