Easy way to earn Linden Dollars?

Not just from contests in clubs and such. Are there like things you can do for linden in-game, or online off of LL / SL

There are many games in SL, which "in-game" did you mean?

SL in general has many ways to earn money in-world.  About as many as RL.  It is generally agreed that the 'easy' way to earn L$ is to get a real job then buy the L$ with real money.  That's because even minimum-wage jobs in most countries pay much, much more than jobs in SL.  Typically you will only make around L$100 per hour (~ US$0.5, GBP 25p) at SL's "unskilled" jobs.  On the other hand some 'exotic' dancers apparently earn ten times that.

Which brings us to the sex industry.  It's as popular in SL as in RL but there's no risk of diseases or getting beaten-up (unless you ask nicely and pay extra ^^).  How much you could earn probably depends on how much being a whore appeals to you.  RL online camera-sessions could get you real money, if you want to be a RL sex-worker.

The rest of 'easy' depends very much on what real-world skills and experience you have and how you want to apply them to SL.  There are always loads of clubs looking for DJs (and DJs looking for clubs, so I don't know what's wrong there).  Content creation and sales is a lot of fun, especially.  As a programmer I consider scripting 'easy' and can make a lot of money from in (by SL standards).  Graphic designers, animators, sound-effects wizards, etc. can all do well.

If you  are looking for an easy job with the idea of little or no effort on your part, then the answer is, just like in RL, there is no such thing.  Just like RL, no one will give you $L just for existing in SL.  There are some jobs in SL that actually don't require much from the "employee" but you are going to have do something to get any lindens.  If you are going to compare RL monetary return for a job in SL you have to think in terms of what you could get when your lindens are cashed out (using one of the approved exchanges).  The historical $L to US $ exchange rate is just about $L250 equals 1 US $.  That means the "easy" job that pays you $L10 per 20 mins of "work" is paying at a rate of $.12 (12 cents) per hour.

It's easiest to just purchase your lindens.  Othewise expect to work pretty hard to get even a couple dollars in real money return on your efforts.  You need to find somthing that you like to do for fun.....money needs to take a backseat to the fun.  You'd do better to find a minimum wage job in RL if your concern is on the money.

The easiest way to earn Linden Dollars is to work in RL and buy them inworld! The time you waste inworld for getting Lindens worth a few cents in RL you can better invest in working in RL as you will earn more money then.

Peter is right about the sex worker trade, but I would NOT recommend doing webcam work. That puts you in the RL "sex worker" camp. The money is better, but the risk is multiplied. What if your parents or your boss runs across your webcam videos, hmm?

Agree with Lindal. And a side comment to the OP: if you are willing to use webcam, why to use SL? Without SL anyone can find a very wide "market" for webcam sex.
