How can I transfer building privileges on a private island?

Hello everyone,

My company has an island that hasn't been used in a while and my boss would like me to update the area, except I do not have editing permission or building permission on this island while he does. Logging in as my boss is not an option so is there an easy and smooth way to transfer island authority over to a new person?

set it to group owned, or deed it to group

when you are in that group he can set the right permissions to you

Follow Alwin's advice and have your boss make you a group officer.  That will give you all the abilities you need.
