Trying to Understand LSL HTTP Server URL

Hi, I read the wiki in regards to LSL HTTP Server. I understand you have to create a URL and release it. But what I don’t understand is how the llRequestURL( ); works. If it generate a URL for you to use to send a request to the LSL Script, will it generate a different URL every time you run script? For me it makes no sense if you have to update the URL, on a PHP script, every time you are sending a request or when the URL changes. Please help me shed some light to this. Thank You Benjamin

You do not get a new URL with every request, it will only change if you re-rez the object, reset the script or on a region restart.

You can script it to update your external DB with the current URL for your PHP script to request

In fact it will change with every request explicitely made via llRequestURL() call unless your region runs out of URLs

What is important to understand here is that you should not call llRequestURL() unless on rez and on sim restart events.
