In two days, on Wednesday 11-21-12 at 1pm SLT, we will be holding a Scripter's Meeting at the Virtual Ability Sim to discuss how Mac users can use the powerful combination of AppleScript and LSL bridged by HTTP to help people with disabilities (PWDs).  The meeting will be held at the Sojourner auditorium which is located at the following slurl:

We will have a brief presentation and code walk-thru of the original local chat text-to-Speech application that opened our eyes to the incredible things we can do with the combination of these two languages, followed by the really fun part:  a brinstorming session!  Come join in on the fun, learn, and be heard!

Yes, the ease with which such an example can be put together is testimony to the power of this approach.  The meeting is not about the text to speech application, but about the myriad of other things that we can do for the disabled by combining AppleScript and LSL.  There is a great deal of potential that is untapped at this time and we would like to figure out exactly what is needed by whom so we can address the needs of those individuals.  I hope you can attend the meeting, it sounds like your skills could be helpful!
