if i dont have a home base where do i go to rez items?

You can go to a public linden sandbox, a privately owned sandbox that allows the public in, or if you are premium a premium members sandbox.  Use search to find them.  If all you are doing is rezzing items then a small one with low traffic is best.

Hi Cynika! I *just* wrote two blog posts on the subject that you may find helpful; the first one on the page links to a list of free, public sandboxes that you can use to rez your purchases. I've visited them all and they're generally quiet and have a good auto-return time (at least 2 hours, sometimes much more) which means you have plenty of time to unpack things and sort your inventory as needed. The best places to build, in order of decreasing desirability, are

1. Your own land

2.  A friend's land

3.  A group's land (assuming that you are a member and have building permision)

4.  A Premium sandbox (these are all griefer-free and usually very quiet, but you have to be a Premium member)

5.  Sandboxes at managed building areas, like Caledon Oxbridge University or NCI or Builder's Brewery

6. The beta (Aditi grid)

7. An unpopular sandbox (look way down at the bottom of the list on Search for "sandbox" and avoid any place that says "weapons")

There are dozens of rez areas in SL, away from the sandboxes.   I will drop you a couple of landmarks inworld, jsut pop to them, and you can rezz there.

Aren't you just a bundle of joy..... How about answering the question with like....... an SLURL if you are making a specific recommendation... It's easy, even YOU can do it. Try that Copy SLURL option on any Landmark you have saved and paste the results in your post.
