Question

I've been having a problem for a few days now, I log out & when I log back in it's like I didn't do anything & I have to do it all over again! I unpack & catagorize & organize my items, but for a few days now when I log in ALL my progress is lost...it's like most everything is in packed form again in the objects folder like I didn't open them!

Never had this problem before! What's happening & why??

You aren't giving us much to go on.

When you ask a tech question include information about your computer and viewer. If the viewer will at least show the login screen, get the info from the viewer's Help-About... and paste that into your post with your question. Help->About... provides all the version numbers we need.  To add your info to an existing question use OPTIONS->EDIT. It’s in the upper right of your post.

If you are changing your cache location, you might get something like this if your viewer is crashing on exit. You would have to look in the SL log to see if that is happening. You'll find it here:

C:\Users\[Win_login_ID]\AppData\Roaming\SecondLife\logs\

Start at the end and work toward the beginning looking for ERRORS. Hopefully there is a clue there.

When building or scripting I have had the same type of problem in the past where progress is lost, some times with out  crashing or logging out.  For me it usually was a bad Internet connection.  I've all so noticed a trend with heavy lag and window updates running in the back ground.  If your problem is intermittent then this might be your problem, if it is not sure there's much you can do.

Are you unpacking things some place with lots of lag? that might add to the problem.

It shouldn't be my internet connection & so far I haven't had any updates goin on while i'm in SL, also the place I use to unpack doesn't have any lag either & I don't have permission to build & don't mess script stuff! I may have to downgrade my Firestorm, i'm using the Beta update but it's been a bit since I changed to it & this problem only started a few days or so ago suddenly!

Yeah, I dunno....but it's annoying as heck to have to redo everything everyday!

Thnx for the input!
