Is secondlife down atm... My sl worked great for almost a week .. The one day I want to logon It says waiting for region handshake as of june 6 2016 if you did update( which I did ) you can go to this link and install ( my preferences is automatic updates) I have uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times nothing... <-- panics :(

You'll often get that message if you have a firewall or an overly agressive antivirus routine blocking your access to SL.  You can usually fix those by making exceptions:

It's also possible that you are simply trying to log in to a region that is offline, so try logging in to a different one.  Furball, Smith, and Pooley are very quiet, safe places to use.
