Welcome to SL!

You should have received an Welcome email for your home, which will contain a link to take you to your home.  Additionally (or if you didn't receive the email) when you are in-world, go to the "World" menu and then "My Land Holdings...".  The parcel name for your home should show there - select it and click "Teleport".  That will take you to the home.

Once you are at your home, co to the "World" menu again, and then select "Set home to here".  After that, you will be able to get back to the house by clicking the home icon.

Linden Homes is the Knowledge Base page with more information regarding Linden homes.

You may also want to take a look at Quick Start and The Basics for more beginners information.  Also, in the Destination Guide, there is a section with areas in-world with newcomer tutorials and information (look for "Newcomer Friendly").

CassieMaia mentioned most of the ways you can find your home.  You should also start exploring the resources on your dashboard at secondlife.com.  If you look under the Land Manager link, you will find subcategories where you can see a list of all property that you own anywhere in SL, including their addresses.

Hello, JulianAnn!

You don't say whether you signed up for a Linden Home, or bought a house on the Marketplace or from a store.  They are two different things.

In Second Life, having a home requires two things:  A house, and land to put it on.

If you signed up for a Premium membership, one of the benefits is a free Linden Home.  These are pre-built homes, already located on 512 square meter land parcels.  Use the email you got, or look in your account under Land Manager to find your home's location.

If you bought a house, you'll need to either buy or rent a land parcel to put it on.  However, you can at least see the house by going to a public sandbox (use Search to find them) and rezzing the house there.  You cannot keep it there permanently; sandboxes are intended for temporary builds and will auto-return your stuff after a few hours, if you don't clean up after yourself.

Buying or renting land isn't hard, but there are many pitfalls for the newcomer.  I teach a class on land every Friday at 5 pm SL Time, at Caledon Oxbridge University.  It's free to attend!
