Any language other than english shows up as a blank box.

I recently restared SL and I was wondering why I only see blank boxes on SL when english isn't used. If I copy those boxes and paste it onto my computer I am able to see it. How do I fix this?

My guess is that you mean you see unrecognised characters? Missing characters show as rectangles?

You probably need the version of Unicode that's compatible with your system. From memory, Windows 7 and above all come with Unicode pre-installed, so maybe you're on a less common - or out-dated - operating system?
