My avi wont stop moving and goes through solid objects

Hello,

 Thank you in advance for your help. I just started having issues with my avatar where I push one of the directional buttons and he will go through solid objects and keeps moving with out my input. For awhile a sure fix was to restart my computer and everything went back to normal. Now nothing that I do, including re downloading SL Viewer, has worked. I have done a full virus scan on my computer. Does anyone have a idea what is going on? Is it a hardware issue?

Hi DK,

This sounds like "rubberbanding" and is caused by server lag, or communications problems between your computer and SL. Something may have changed with your ISP, or your router/modem may need restarting. Nalates Urriah has put together a nice compendium of things to do to improve the quality of your computer's connection to SL.
