Google maps for auction locations -really?

I'm seeing , blank, Google maps in the auction map ???  So, will they include flying instructions too?  "Bank left at Bay City -- lower to 4 m and come in for a landing "

Or is SL land really real?

It's a dupe of WENG-3355, an internal issue.

ie) they already knew about it before the bug was filed.

I doubt it will get fixed before the xmas break now though.

'Tis a pain, but if I see an auction entry that seems worth investigating, I use maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SIMNAME/ where SIMNAME is the region of that auction entry, being sure to retain that trailing "/". I can usually just eyeball the X & Y coordinates of the parcel, but you can also add those to the URL.

For example, http://ld.auctions.secondlife.com/lin/auction/auction/view/id/29302/ is listed on the auction page as "Klaw (240,84)" so you can get a map to it with http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Klaw/240/84/ .

It's certainly no subsititute for the way it used to work, but it's faster than popping the in-world teleport map just for a first glimpse.
