Changing your sky

Hello everyone,

 

A quick question, I'm either dumb or I'm not typing in the right words to find the answer haha, but I was wondering how is it that people are able to change the way their sky/lighting looks.. Is it because they own the land or is it just a giant skydome.. I'm really curious about it.

If they Estate Manager rights then it is a windlight setting. Otherwise a prim.

no need to be estate manager , everybody can change the windlight settings it's user side

Anyone who has land can change it for Firestorm users (if the user allows it) through parcel windlight.

Put the settings for sky and water into the parcel's description and it's done.

The nice thing is you can have different skies at different heights. Sunny on the ground and dark up in space.

If you're seeing the land owners windlight setting then it's likely as I stated.
