Leaving A Group Where Ejectee is Not In Group

I am trying to leave a group that I have received harassment and would like to leave it.  However, when I try to, I get a message "Cannot Leave Group.  Ejectee Is Not In Group."  

 

How can I leave this group?  I contacted them and got no response of ejecting me.  I asked to be removed. 

 

Linden?  Can you please help me?

it can be a glitch, try it again later,

or

you are indeed not in the sl group but in a subscription group. You wil have to go to the subscription terminal and click it again te be removed.

I thought they fixed the "over 5000" bug.  If you can not get an officer to remove you ...

 

Start a google blog and set it up with advertisements.

Spam your new blog in group chat.

You may lose friends with this method but it will get you booted from any group.

Lindens don't generally read these forums except for the technical forums involving new server software and those Lindens can't help you with this issue. You need to file a support ticket and ask support to remove you from the group.

I have the same thing going on..I keep hitting leave option, each time i come on SL,but it does nothing..

I'm not too worried about it really,i just close off group notices and IM's and it goes silent pretty much..

But it does have me leery of joining new groups now..hehehe

Maybe i need to update my viewer or something?It's the last release of CtrlAltStudio..

CtrlAltStudio is still based off FS 4.6.9, so you probably will need to jump in with some other viewer to leave large groups.

I may just live with it like this for a little whille..I like this viewer..

At least until there is a new released version..

I've only seen Beta's for it after the version i have  so far..

oh, you don't have to give up CtrlAltStudio, just log in with something else for a munute to get rid of that group. surely your favorite will understand and welcome you back on the next login!

I found the same thing: Catznip wouldn't let me quit certain groups. I switched viewer to Singularity for a session and sorted it out. Thinking back, it was probably large groups that were the problem.

I had the same problem with firestorm. But I just relogged and then I was no longer in the groups I had tried to remove myself from!
