I'm a bit surprised this hasn't been mentioned here yet. Am I the only one who have noticed that we are now redirected to the right page when we log on to the forum?

/me opens her copy of "Low hanging fruits LL should have picked up long ago" and deletes one item from the list.

With Venus, this is still broken. Typical sign-in redirect is still: return_to=https%3A//support.secondlife.com/openid_rp/handle-auth-id/

Should [probably] be: return_to=https%3A//community.secondlife.com/openid_rp/handle-auth-id/

Consequently newly signed-in users end up at https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Blogs/ct-p/Blogs as before, since this is the primary landing page of community.secondlife.com (and return_to) can't push outside of the community sub-domain.

---

That said, I did notice that reclaimed sessions (done via cookies) seem to work a little better. Fresh sign-in's, not so much.

Would be interested if you can show that your return_to QS is correct.

It still redirects me to the blogs section.

The question is... what page were you on when you hit the Sign In button?

When I sign in, I'm now directed back to the page I was on (link), which is always the page I start from when I sign in.  But, when I sign in directly from the sign in page, I'm automatically directed to the blog section, which seems appropriate since that's where you end up when you click on ( https://community.secondlife.com ).  In other words, I believe you have to have been on a certain page in order to be redirected back to one, otherwise you get the default.

(I hit the reply button and it asked me to sign in)

And who said I've been bad this year
:(

Santa Linden must have put your name on the wrong list by mistake. But that's been fixed now, you're officially on the "nice" list. ^_^

No. I'm still annoyingly dragged out to look at ANSWERS each time I opt to post in any forum.

So if I want to put an ad on "Mainland: Parcels" I click on that forum and that section, but am first forced to look at ANSWERS, then I can go post. Or if I want to put a comment on "General Discussion"or indeed post anywhere for any reason, the system first forces me to go look at ANSWERS.

I find this tremendously annoying and stupid and I'm glad someone else has complained about it.

Why does this happen? I don't know. Theories? They want to force people to help answer questions? I don't mind that at all but I hate being dragged in re-directs.

  • 2 weeks later...

Ok so after a little while, is like to change my feedback here.

Under the new TOS, I think it's awesome that this has been nearly fixed. It's an improvement that at least we can reply and not have to play find the thread but what would be even more awesome would be if I didn't have to keep logging in every few pages.

Example, I access the forums, immediately sign in, read and reply. Then change topic, navigate a bit and I'm signed out.
