Land of NoR

For those into spontaneous free form dark role play with a combat feature, Land of NoR is often the answer. But, if you are wondering where NoR went (or saying has gone or going might be more accurate) there is a long story.

What is going on with NoR? - This is the longer story with more background information.

TL : DR - Seems the main avatar account that was used to pay tier was allowed to go past due. As people pay rent/leasing payments to that avatar the account lockup locked away a bunch of money. The owners wanted the Lindens to take the money from the avatar's L$ account and pay tier. They spent six months trying to talk the Lab into that without making a payment... didn't happen. Now 6 months later the regions are being shut down.

It is more complex than this short summary makes out. But, that description is close.

NoR is not going away. But, it may be hard to find for the next couple of weeks while regions get transferred to new owners. If they can't pull that off, they'll go with hew regions.

The NoR Chatterbugs group is still open as is the forum.

NOTE: I initially speculated that the account in question was archived after a period of inactivity. Linden Lab does not archive or close accounts for inactivity. So, I was wrong. It seems the account was most likely locked for non-payment, at least that is what we were told by NoR officers.

Remembrance, the main landing region for Land of NoR, came back the last week of September.
